명지대 건설관리연구실 연구진이 원자력발전소시설 정보관리 분야의 최초 ISO 국제표준 개발 리더역을 맡아 2025년 10월 31일 발행했습니다.

 

이번 표준(ISO 18136-1:2025)은 건설과 운영을 포함한 원자력발전소 전체 생애주기를 통하여, 원전 생태계 내의 많은 조직 간에 정보전달을 자동화할 수 있는 표준 업무와 정보를 정의한 것으로서, 첫 번째 파트(Part 1)는 생태계 개념 정의와 함께 구조화된 정보 식별자를 제시하고 있습니다. 이어서, 올해 2026년에 착수 예정인 두 번째 파트는 원전시설물의 형상관리 (Facility Configuration Management) 핵심 업무와 정보를 표준화할 예정입니다.

 

본 표준개발 프로젝트에서 리더는 정영수 교수, 에디터는 프랑스 EDF의 Mr. Mouton과 본 연구실 이윤섭 교수가 공동으로 맡아, ISO/TC184/SC4/WG3 활동으로 진행되었습니다. 세계적으로 SMR을 포함한 차세대 원전건설이 확대되며 국제경쟁이 심화하는 시점에, 우리 명지대학교가 원전건설 정보표준 기술의 선도적 역할을 맡고 있다는 점은 의미가 큽니다.

 

British Standards Institution (BSI)는 ISO 18136-1를 영국표준으로 채택하며, 효율향상 (Enhanced Efficiency), 국제규정준수 (Global compliance), 위험완화 (Risk mitigation), 혁신촉진 (Innovation facilitation) 효과를 얻을 수 있다고 소개하고 있으며, 이 외의 여러나라 원전산업계의 전문가들이 관심을 보이고 있습니다.

Researchers from Myongji University's CICMS led the development of the first ISO international standard for nuclear power plant facility information management, published on October 31, 2025.

 

This standard (ISO 18136-1:2025) defines standardized functions and information to automate information exchange among organizations within the nuclear power ecosystem throughout the entire nuclear power plant lifecycle, including construction and operation. Part 1 presents the structured ecosystem concept and introduces information identifiers. The second part, scheduled to commence in 2026, will standardize the core tasks and information for facility configuration management of nuclear facilities.

 

In this project, Professor Youngsoo Jung served as the leader, while Mr. Mouton from France's EDF and Professor Lee jointly served as editors. The work proceeded as an activity of ISO/TC184/SC4/WG3. At a time when next-generation nuclear power plants, including SMRs, are expanding globally and international competition is intensifying, it is significant that Myongji University is taking a leading role in developing nuclear power plant standards.

 

The British Standards Institution (BSI) has adopted ISO 18136-1 as a British Standard, highlighting its potential benefits: enhanced efficiency, global compliance, risk mitigation, and innovation facilitation. Experts from the nuclear power industries of numerous other countries are also showing interest.
